1. Terms and conditions stated below govern your use of the Winter Swimming World Championship 2025 (wswc2026.fi) website.
2. By using our website, you agree with our terms and conditions completely. In case of disagreement with any part of terms and conditions, you must not use our website.
Eligibility
To be eligible on using our website you must:
– There is no age restriction upon users for using our website.
– Agree to terms and conditions.
Term
1. You officially agree to the Term of our website upon entering it.
2. Terms may be changed at any time by the WSWC organising team. You will be informed by email if you have subscribed to our email list.
Email subscription
By subscribing to our email list, you agree upon our privacy policy and these terms and conditions. A detailed description upon data which we store can be found in our privacy policy.
Cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics cookies for creating a better experience for all of our users and by using our website or agreeing to terms and conditions above (Chapter 1-6), you consent to use of cookies stated in our privacy policy.
Cancellation and refund policy
1. Introduction
All registrations for the Winter Swimming World Championship 2026 are subject to the following cancellation and refund policy. By completing your registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
2. Refund eligibility deadline
The final deadline to request a cancellation and receive a refund is January 31, 2026. Any requests made after this date will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
3. Refund tiers
Refunds will be processed based on the date the written cancellation request is received by us:
- Cancellations received on or before January 31, 2026.
- A full refund of the registration fee will be issued, minus a 10 EUR administrative processing fee.
Cancellations received after January 31, 2026:
- No refunds will be issued. This policy is strictly enforced, regardless of the reason for cancellation (including, but not limited to, illness, injury, personal emergency, or adverse weather conditions).
4. How to request a cancellation and refund
All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to payments@wswc2026.fi
To process your request, please include the following information in your email:
Subject line: Refund request – *Your full name
Email body:
Full name of the registered participant: Name Surname
Email address used for registration: email@email.com
Paid amount (in EUR): XY EUR
Date when paid: DD.MM.YYYY
5. Processing refunds
Eligible refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during registration within 14 business days of approval.
6. Event cancellation by organizers
In the unlikely event that we must cancel the entire championship due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme and dangerous weather conditions, government mandate, or force majeure), a full refund of the registration fee will be issued to all participants (minus the processing fee mentioned above).
Please note that the event will only be cancelled for reasons that make it logistically impossible or unsafe to proceed.
7. Participant transfers
If you are unable to participate, you may transfer your registration to another person until Feb 7, 2026. The new participant must complete the event waiver and provide their details. All transfer arrangements are the sole responsibility of the original participant. To initiate a transfer, please contact us at payments@wswc2026.fi
8. No-show
Participants who do not attend the event on the day (“no-shows”) will not be entitled to a refund or credit.

Disclaimer: This policy is subject to change at the discretion of the event organizers, but any changes will not affect refund requests submitted prior to the policy change date.
